Here you can find a variety of programs, add-ons, and other goodies that are related to LBA 1, 2, and the Prequel. Check back often for new additions!

Programs

Here we'll show the programs/tools we will use to make this project, some of which were created by Prequel team members. Although not all were designed explicitly with our project in mind, each one has been integral to the development of our game.

TwinEngine by yaz0r
TwinEngine is a complete reverse engineering of LBA 1, or in simple words, recoding LBA 1 in open source.

This is invaluable in beta tests where we could code specific parts of the engine to achieve certain goals, such as the implementation of high quality sounds, movies and much more, and then make a conversion for the original LBA 1 engine.

LBA Package Editor by Zink
Professional LBA compiler and de-compiler. This program can extract entries of the LBA package files, and replace any entry with your own file.

This program allows us to change packages from the LBA 1 originals to ones we've designed specifically for our game.

LBA Story Coder by alexfont
Edit LBA 1 and LBA 2 scene dynamic objects (doors, characters, etc.). This program also works with LBArchitect to display the respective objects.

With this, we will be able to create the LBA prequel story itself and implement it into the game engine, as well as designing unique character actions and interactions.

LBArchitect by Zink
View and edit rooms from LBA 1 & 2 (and islands from LBA 1). With this tool, you can create your own islands!

Another integral program designed by core team member Zink, this allows us to create a total redesign of the LBA 1 environments and sceneries, making new islands and buildings or simply changing the ones we have.

LBA Screen Viewer by alexfont
View all LBA special images and LBA1 FLA movies. It also allows you to export to different file formats and also to import known image file formats into the LBA files format(s).

This program will help us converting all original images or movies we create to be implemented into our game and also to preview them as they are developed.

LBA Text Editor 2 by Zink
Edit the LBA text files, in any language (a character mapping feature). Complete with a fancy interface.

This program will allow us to make the game dialogues in English. Then the rest of the community can help us translate the game in other languages using this program or a similar one.

LBAnimator Studio by alexfont
View and edit all LBA1 models and animations in a real 3D environment.

This program will help us making new animations from any model in the LBA universe and also make and change the existed LBA1 3D models.

LBA File 3D Editor by OBrasilo
Edit the LBA1 & LBA2 character information file.

This program will help us in modifying the animations and body references for each object or model in the game.

LBA Holomap Locations by alexfont
Edit LBA1 holomap arrow information (entry 9 in RESS.HQR).

This program will help us modify the holomap locations in the game by changing the information text and also the players position in the holomap to correspond with our original storyline elements.

LBA Brick Layout Library Editor by OBrasilo
Edit the scenes' stock of of isometric bricks in both LBA1 and LBA2.

This program will help us creating new bricks compositions and, eventually, new areas entirely!

LBA Savegame Editor 2 by El_Muerte
Edit LBA1 and LBA2 savegames. You can edit the LBA1 location, inventory, position and character status.

This program will help us testing completed scenes in specific situations in the game. Will help us during beta testing and bug tracking.

These are the main tools we'll use, but other programs might also be used and also new ones could be maded to help this project out. Please contact us if you think you have a program or method that could help!

Here we will list relevant projects, fan games or other helpful sources that we are allied with and have called upon for aid during the design of our game, including some of the other notable fan projects from the LBA community.

LBA File Information Project by LBA Community
For information of the entries inside the LBA archives.

This project will help us determine what kind of files we have inside the LBA HQR file(s). This project is connected with the LBA Package Editor.
